Fondal Foundation Chairman and CEO Noureddine Salehi acknowledged the great efforts made by the government to advance industrial economic institutions, and said in a meeting he collected from Al-Hiwar magazine that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, insisted on the advancement of the world of industry, and we saw it through the meeting of the Minister of Industry with all the complexes, so we take the opportunity to ask our support for the construction of a new factory in Oran as an alternative to unity in the residential complex.
Bullion production has gone through several stages, how do you assess the current stage and what are its dimensions and prospects?
First of all, I would like to highlight the importance of plumbing in the development of the national economy, since it is one of the important processes for the formation and production of minerals, since it consists of a metal or a liquid alloy in a mold to reproduce certain parts that can be used in several industries such as the automotive industry and maintenance equipment for the electrical and agricultural industries, so I say the role of plumbing is important in the industry is rather the spirit of the industry.
This requires everyone to pay great attention to the profession of plumber. It requires everyone to advance the plumbing industry to be one of the most important sectors contributing to the promotion of the national economy.
Algeria is working on the revival and development of industrial activity in the field of steel, how does Vondal contribute to this?
As the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has said on several occasions, has emphasized the advancement of the world of industry, which is why it is imperative for us with the developments and globalization that have made many countries think about a new framework of mechanisms and controls.
In order to meet the challenges, it is imperative to improve competitive capacities and achieve quality and performance in private or public industrial establishments.
For this reason, Algeria has turned to industrial subcontracting and has made it a priority and a main objective for the development of the industrial sector, even the creation of an integrated industrial pole similar to the Amital complex, directed by the CEO, Tarek Bouslama, who signed several contracts at the beginning of his term as chairman of the complex, which are subcontracts with several public companies, including JICA and Cosider, which are integrated with each other at the product level branches of Amital, for example, the Vondel unit produces ferrous granules that grind solid materials for the cement industry. we participated in the reduction of the hard currency import bill, because Ametal decided on the partnership or the handling between the two companies, Cosidar, which has several important and large projects that require us to supply them with several products iron such as drains, as well as the “Fon” unit in Oran, whose mission is to provide beauty equipment for women.
Roads and in the industry of “Condelaber” and the “Fan” Harrach unit specializing in the production of several equipment, and therefore has significant capabilities to supply public enterprises with sewage and water networks, and supply “Al-Jiri Telecom” with cable-recovery material, which obliges them to take the Fondal product.
The ambition is clear to advance the industrial sector and deal with the brutal fluctuations of hydrocarbons.
The complex is working on the introduction of new technologies to meet market requirements through its branches in the El Harrach, Oran and Tiaret units Are you moving towards modernizing production capacities?
The Oran unit is one of the old units in Algeria, it was created in 1921. This is why all the machines are old and have not yet been renewed, and their production is low to meet the needs present in the Algerian economy. why we have thought quickly to develop this unit, so we have prepared strong and solid studies for the advancement and promotion of this unit.
The wali of Oran helped us to modernize the unit by giving us land on which to build a new advanced plumbing unit capable of producing iron equipment which covers the needs of public and private institutions that import a lot of iron equipment from abroad and pay them in hard currency.
Therefore, we are striving with all our efforts to develop plumbing in Oran and it has been pointed out that the unit is located in the middle of a residential complex and that poses a great danger to the population, so we want land in an industrial area away from population centers and for the development, as I said, of this industry, i.e. plumbing, as quickly as possible and in order to reduce foreign currency import bills heavily paid by Algerian institutions such as “Jika” which imports ferrous pellets that we can produce here at the Fondal Foundation.
Thus, we have succeeded in our quest and our objective to reduce Import Iron bills for public and private institutions.
What did the Oran unit accomplish?
Everything you see at the People’s National Assembly, such as the lighting, the seats, as well as the cornice is manufactured in the Oran unit of Fondal.
The manufacture of the unit is characterized by quality, but its price is very expensive because all Oran products are handmade.
Have you prepared a plan to increase the production capacity of Vondal What is the purpose of the project?
Fondal is important for the industrial economy in Algeria, because it manufactures steel pellets which are used by all cement institutions, in addition to manufacturing hammers which are needed by public and private institutions, which means that Fondal plumbing meets all the requirements of the market and purely industrial institutions.
The export to the African market is very important, especially since Algeria has an important strategic location What is the specialty of the Tiaret unit?
Tiaret’s unit manufactures iron pellets, hammers and furnaces, as well as small and large spare parts, so this is important.
Do you think it is necessary to develop the unit of Oran?
This is very necessary in order to preserve the plumbing industry in Algeria.
Therefore, it has become very important to open a factory in Oran as an alternative to the unit located in the middle of the agglomeration. Agricultural equipment, railways, crushing hammers, as well as mechanical spare parts and pellets for tourist and commercial ports.
For this, I repeat, a new plant must be opened quickly to allow the Fondal company to continue in the alloy industry and to give it new life.
I urge you that the Oran unit will tomorrow be an industrial pole of excellence in plumbing.
We are talking about exporting abroad, do you plan to export?
To come back to the strategy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the institutions, including ours, must achieve self-sufficiency and move towards the world market. I think exporting to the African market is very important, especially since Algeria has an important strategic role. location, and due to our good relationship with African countries, our institution has great capabilities and our products allow us to enter and enter the African and international market, but this forces us all to change our mentalities, because unfortunately the Algerian worker in the public institution does not think about improving the product and the performance, but rather thinks about the monthly salary only and is satisfied with it, and that is not what should be done with the current developments and the market data and needs.
If we want to promote this industry and others, and if we want to break into the export world, then we must emphasize the quality of our industry, the precision in the work, the respect of deadlines, and enshrine the principle of good management, as it obliges banks to follow the strategy of industrial economic institutions.
Banks play a major role in helping us move our institutions forward and achieve all of our goals, but they can be an important partner in the economic development of the institution.
What are your relations with the Ministry of Industry and have you expressed your concerns?
In fairness to everyone, we do not deny that the current Minister of Industry, Ahmed Zughdar, is the Prime Minister who opened his door to us. The Republic, Abdel Majid Tebboune and his government, therefore, we feel that there is a clear spirit and an ambition to advance the industrial sector and deal with the brutal fluctuations of hydrocarbons.
What are the future prospects for the development of the alloy industry in Algeria, what else does this industry need to keep pace with modernity?
As I said earlier, what we need to develop the plumbing industry in Algeria in the light of digitalization requires us to make great efforts to advance, develop, prepare and modernize it. .
To develop the current industry into the future industry to keep pace with modernity, and accordingly, our institutions are ready to enter the solar power equipment market, where we can produce solar poles and panels , which helps our institutions and the state to reduce the import bill, like the JICA institution. a major role in the manufacture of mechanical spare parts and the mechanical industry, and the same is true for the agricultural sector.
Our institution is able to cover the market with all agricultural equipment, so it is necessary to accompany our institution so that we can achieve self-sufficiency and depend on the import of products, any piece of iron. We will relaunch the market with local, national industry, and with Algerian hands, we will support technology.
One last word ?
It should be noted the role of the magazine “Al-Hiwar”, the great role it plays in introducing and encouraging economic institutions, because not so long ago economic institutions were not known public and private, for example, the Tiaret unit, which was not known to anyone and that it is a public company specializing in the manufacture of Sabek, except for a modest knowledge of the units “Al-Harash and Oran”, and accordingly, through the magazine, everyone will get to know our institution, the “Plumbing Foundation”, and this will give us the opportunity to enter the field of competition, so we thank Al-Hiwar magazine.
